Our Mission is to promote community bicycling and pedestrian use of rail trails for health and recreation while fostering a spirit of ownership for improving and maintaining these trails and ensuring "green" spaces for the community to enjoy.

To All My Customers and Future Clients:

2016 was a tough year for the bicycle industry in general, along with the bridge construction here at Rails to Trail Bicycle Shop.  There has been a major business shift in the bicycle industry designed to squeeze every last penny out of the consumer's pocket along with cutting customer service through direct sale.  This will result in dramatically reducing the number of independent bicycle dealerships (IBD's) by 70% in the next 5 years and complete extinction predicted by 2024.

As an IBD, my business model never relied on the sale of new bicycles.  In fact, the sale of a new bicycle has generally cost money in the time of sizing, fitting, test rides, building, discounting to meet the market price, display, shipping, storage and warrantee repairs. My mission is to provide my customers with proper and quality equipment. The services that the IBD's supplied for free may eventually go by the wayside.

In my new role as Bicycle Consultant, all the confusing spin that the bicycle companies have out there will stop at my brick and mortar front door!

For the consumer...DO THE RESEARCH FIRST ON YOURSELF!  How to get the most satisfaction from the use of your bicycle.  How much will you ride? Where will you ride? What are your long and short term health and budget goals.  The $300 bicycle may be a better fit than the $5000 bicycle.

Then go web surfing!  See what the bicycle companies have to offer.

Next, make an appointment with me!  Bring me your data and we can sit down and discuss your choices.  We will decide what best fits YOUR health and budget needs based on ALL the industry standards (Fuji, Trek, Giant, etc.).

Thanks for your support and patronage!
