At the April meeting of the Mount Joy Township Parks and Recreation Board meeting, Lance Koons, owner of Rails to Trail Bicycle Shop, located along the Conewago Rail Trail on Rt. 743 in Elizabethtown, presented a check for a $15,000 donation to be used toward the development of the township's new Old Trolley Line Park, along Beverly Road near Route 743 in Elizabethtown. DONATION POLICY
If you are requesting a donation of equipment, services, or funds, your organization or fundraiser MUST have a direct impact on the Conewago Rail Trail,
the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail, or Old Trolley Line Park.

On Tuesday, July 17, 2012, state leaders including Barry Schoch, PA Secretary of Transportation (10th from left-back), and DCNR Deputy Secretary Cindy Dunn (8th from left-back) and others joined Lance Koons (3rd from left-back) of Rails to Trail Bicycle Shop to celebrate the beauty of the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail by bicycling a stretch of the trail. Topics discussed included environmental and economic impact of locally businesses and industries, physical well-being and needs of community members along with future activities and events planned for the rail trail. John Wengert (4th from left-front), president of the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail, led the group on the ride.
